Garnishing Wine Diva's World

Some things have the power to bring an instant smile. For me, a wall of candy, a bouquet of gerbera daisies, the perfect shoes and the window display at Cupcakes. Wine Diva just found another reason to beam-the Garnish Girls' newest product- edible, all natural Wild Hibiscus flowers. These beautiful jellied blossoms from Australia are packaged in syrup, in glass jars of 50 and are available in North America for the first time. When owner Tina (one of the three lovely ladies of GG) emailed me about this new product I clapped my hands and giggled like Elmo!

Everyone knows WD's passionate appreciation for bubbles in any form, but drop one of these bathing beauties into my glass and you have my unending love and affection. The Hibiscus' are a red/pink shade and their syrup the colour of grenadine. When you drop the flower into a champagne flute the bubbles go crazy and tickle the petals open creating an undulating work of art. The wine itself takes on a rosé hue and the subtle rhubarb-y aromas of the Hibiscus are released.
Best of all once the glass is empty you can eat the flower (remember-all natural). It has the sweet flavour and texture of a red Jujube-what fun!
Observe. Drink. Eat. Repeat.
Wine Diva's perfect meal-in-a-glass
