Kanawinka Ridge 'Limestone Coast' Cabernet Sauvignon, South

Kestrel Vintners Rosé, Yakima Valley Washington, 2004-
An intriguing combination of sangiovese 92% and cabernet franc 8%, but
with all the required elements of a pretty rosé. Fresh red ground berry
aromas with some lovely sweet and savoury spice notes. Medium bodied
just off-dry and as refreshing as a Tuscan breeze. Not inexpensive, but
as we’ve all seen, the wines coming out of the Pacific Northwest these
days are of exceptional quality but pricey.

Kettle
Valley Adra Station Chardonnay Reserve, Naramata BC, 2000- When I was
building wine lists, this Chardonnay was always at the top of my BC Chardonnay
list. The 2000 obviously has some age on it since I last tried it and it shows
in the new complexity. Super buttery, aromas of creamed corn, baked pears, earth
and cold cream. Intense Flavours of spice, nuts and obvious oak, the fruit has
diminished quite a bit with age.
