Oak Bay Gamay
Noir, Okanagan BC, 2004- Blackberry, spice, toast, black pepper and
tobacco. Lean body with vague fruit, bone dry and peppery, a wine meant
to drink with roasted dishes, and yes, again think Thanksgiving.

Wine Diva tasted-August 2005
Oak Bay Gamay, Okanagan BC, 2004- Juicy aromas, with spice, maraschino
cherry and pepper. Earthy, light-bodied and fresh with dusty, spiced tannins. A
soft, bistro style (Beaujolais style) red suitable enough even for a weekday
lunch

Oak Bay 'Family Barrel Reserve' Chambourcin/Merlot, Okanagan BC,
2004-
Lovely bright ruby-garnet hue. Red fruit, smoked game meat, pepper,
earth and leather. Solid tannins and a hint of acidity. Not your
usual merlot blend!

Omaka Springs Riesling,
Marlborough NZ, 2005- Super fresh, lime rind, peach-pit and mineral with
cheek-sucking acidity. If memory serves me the 2005 is much 'crisper' than
2004. Just as good, just different. A wine made for food!

Omaka Springs Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough NZ, 2004- I loved this
sauvignon blanc! Gooseberry, passion-fruit and jalapeno, the mouth-feel was
lush the flavours crisp and just enough grassiness to remind you it was a
sauvignon blanc!
