Quails Gate Gewurztraminer, Westbank BC, 2005- Is it my
fogged up pink-ish brain or does this years Q.G Gewurztraminer
have a slightly more amber hue than last? Either way, all the flavour is
there. Still slightly off-dry (which Wine
Diva thinks enhances all the wonderful flavours)
peaches, blossoms and stone/mineral aromatics rounded off with a
hint of tropical fruit. Sweetly spiced with a fresh
grapefruity finish. Another  superb liquid from winemaker Grant
			Stanley.

Quails' Gate Chenin Blanc, Okanagan BC, 2005- The first to make Chenin
Blanc in BC (Wine Diva loves Loire Chenin's)
this Quails' Gate wine has become a classic summertime quaff. The 2005 vintage
has 14% Sauvignon Blanc added-perhaps due to the low 2005 vintage yields and is
bright with aromatic hints of honey blossoms, grass and minerals. Soft orchard
fruit aromas and tart citrus in the mouth. Zippy and refreshing.
$18.99 Private wine stores and at the winery

Quails' Gate Family Reserve Riesling, Okanagan BC, 2005- Made from 25 year
old vines this riesling shows classic petrol aromas with crisp green apples and
minerals. Stone fruit-peach and nectarine flavours finishing off with brisk
citrus flavours.

Quails' Gate Limited Release Riesling, Okanagan BC, 2005-
Slightly less expensive and a touch sweeter than the Family Reserve Riesling,
the LR is full of ripe apricots and fresh apple aromas studded with lemon rind.
In the mouth sweet fruit and candied citrus flavours with a clean persistent
finish.

Quails' Gate Limited Release Chardonnay, Okanagan BC, 2004-30%
of this wine went through a secondary (aka malo-lactic) fermentation and saw
both stainless steel and oak barrels which shows in this creamy, and toasty
butterscotch-y wine. Ripe pineapple in the mouth slightly hot with a long spiced
vanilla finish.

Quails' Gate 'Optima' Botrytis Affected, Okanagan BC, 2005- Translation
Wine Diva's-in-training this wine
will fall into the dessert wine category with its lovely aromas of wild honey,
apricots and musk. Creamy and buttery in the mouth with drizzles of sweet honey
and palate cleansing citrus. Sweet, not cloying and not icewine!
