Valdo Prosecco Marca Oro- Fresh and light, minerals citrus and floral. A very feminine  style of prosecco, with a bold yellow label.
BCLDB-$19.99
Wine Diva tasted- December 2005

Veramonte Merlot, Casablanca Valley Chile, 2003-Blackish-blood red, a colour as bold as the tall commanding bottle in which it is housed. Another Wine Diva go-to wine with sweet, ripe blackberries, mint, minerally earth and savoury herbs. In the mouth is a burst of ripe black fruit, cola flavours and a long bitter-chocolate finish.
$14.99
Wine Diva tasted- February 2006

Vespaiolo Demi-Sec Spumante- Don’t let the word Spumante scare you, the Vespaiolo is similar in style to a Moscato d'Asti, demi-sec (semi-dry) is light fresh and sweet with a full lush mouth and clean finish. A great alternate to Champers or traditional Prosecco, and far more sophisticated than that old Spumante my uncle Vinnie used to pour!
Specialty wine stores $21.99
Wine Diva tip:
Vespaiolo is a grape varietal. Spumante is Italian for 'frothy'!Wine Diva tasted- December 2005

Vespaiolo Vino Frizzante ‘spago’- Aromas are of ripe almost sweet fruit and flowers. Dry and delicate in the mouth, a dance of orchard fruit, earth and the slightly bitter
citrus-y pith also commonly found in prosecco.
BC LDB $19.99 (just arrived in stores)
Wine Diva tip:
Vespaiolo is a grape varietal.

Viña Casablanca Coleccione Privada Sauvignon Blanc, Valle de Casablanca Chile, 2005-Creamy lemon aromas, peaches and tropical fruit, soft herbs and gooseberry. Vibrant and clean in the mouth with good minerality and a zippy citrus. Fun and easy drinking, WD kept sipping at this wine throughout the evening.
*The barrel sample of the 2006 of this wine was also delicious and promises to be a winner!

Viña Casablanca Coleccione Privada Syrah, Valle de Casablanca Chile, 2005-
Sweet, earthy and fresh. Aromas of red berry, cherry and fresh mountain stream. Lovely and simple, easy drinking and better than similarly priced cola-wines.

Viña Casablanca Nimbus Cabernet Sauvignon, Valle de Casablanca, Chile, 2004- Wow, wow, wow was pretty much all that was coming out of Wine Diva's mouth when trying this wine. "Perhaps, the 8% Petite Verdot", winemaker Andrés Cabellero leaned over and (with a twinkle in his eye) whispered was what was intriguing me. He said it took him "two weeks of blending" and playing around with this wine to get exactly what he wanted.
Time well spent!
Ripe and lush, chock-full of black cherry and rich chocolate, velvety smooth and earthy with beautifully integrated tannins.
